Collabo 000: Titling for animator Thomas Martin
I met this dude at a gallery and found out he was doing some flash animations. So, I reached out and asked if I could do some of his titling for his animations. I feel it’s necessary as a multimedia graphic artist to explore and keep my skills refined so I can do more artsy stuff as well as work with other artists. So here’s what I came up with.
So, I did this title in Adobe Illustrator (My Favorite) and I wanted the text to kinda look Star Wars gimmicky…

Event Flicks 001: MojaMoja Upfront – Tesla
I have always read alot about the Tesla Motor in WIRED and POPULAR MECHANICS magazines. I was then given the opportunity to do some event photography for The MojaMoja.
Just wanted to mention the car is AWESOME! You can’t even hear it running. I have an interest in sports cars and I think next to the Bugatti Veyron this is one of my new favorites. And…and…its environmentally friendly…
Event Flicks 002: Sneaky Nietzsche
Very popular LA event. I asked one of the event coordinators if I could shoot. So I did.
I think the draw of this event was the theatrical concerted entertainment. There were people the in masks handing out exerpts of books and reading them to you as you pass by and different interactive stations and a themed bar. Not only was the main stage taken by a great female vocalist there was also a DJ on site. GOOD TIMES…
Client Case File 35: Whoopie Bakery Character
After designing the Whoopie Bakery logo. I was commissioned to do a character design/illustration. The character is to look friendly and have a universal appeal.
The first draft was a little too modern
The second was just right and more family oriented

Client Case File 33: Whoopie Bakery Logo
I was commissioned to work on the concept and design for a new food product Whoopie Pies.
The product is like a small cake with a cream filling. For a more defined understanding here is the a wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whoopie_pie
In addition, the logo was to include two Whoopie Pies to replace the O’s in Whoopie. During the first round of revisions the client got a comment saying the whoopies looked like hamburgers. Argh! So, I went and took the time to revise 3 times to perfect the logo and WAH LAH! (I hope I am not over using that expression)

Custom 001: Shawty (Hat)
Don’t let the title get to you…Here’s the story…I was at work and I saw someone with a blank white(quiet the the off color jokes Beavis) hat and was inspired to make something of it…so I asked I could take the hat and do something with it….and so we have this posting of me creating the hat…
1) I had a plan (the words, colors, type of lettering)
2) I masked off any of the areas I didn’t want to get paint on…

3) I painted the hat twice with a coat of white acrylic paint and I used a heat gun and air dry in between coats and after…

4)Then light spray painting 5 different colors (midnight blue, medium blue, light blue, 2 pinks) on the surface after the hat
air dried well and then again…more heat and air drying…

5) After letting the hat dry well (where the surface does not feel sticky) I then sketch in the letters with a white sakura permapaque

6) After sketching the letters…I filled the letters in again with white acrylic paint…

7) Let that dry for a couple minutes then started with Deco Color markers to fill in details…

8 ) Before the unmasking…I outlined with black….
